Food I've made since coming home!

Since coming home from my study abroad...

I've been trying cook/bake new things as while living abroad I didn't have access to a kitchen - it was common practice to eat out/takeaway meals as buying ingredients was more expensive.
So, I had been missing cooking my own meals myself.

But in my first few weeks home, I missed the easily accessible world foods I had access to

Like Bibimbap!

Bibimbap is a Korean dish I often enjoyed getting, it has a base of rice, is topped with a selection of steamed veggies (varies), a type of meat and an egg! It also has a spicy sauce, which usually has gochujang (a korean type of red chilli paste).

This is how it looked when I made it at home!

an important step is mixing it all together after!

I really enjoy bibimbap, it feels healthy with all the veg haha! My bowls are slightly too small for it so mixing was a delicate process.

Fried chicken!

I just wanted to make my own and managed to do it quite easily haha, I love and missed avocado while away - I wasn't able to find it easily before but now can access it way easier so I, of course, had to get it!

and... Sacher torte!

So, this picture which I put as the cover photo, is of a Sacher torte I made. I'm really proud of how it turned out!
A Sacher torte is basically an Austrian chocolate cake that has a chocolate glaze and layers of apricot puree. This took me a few hours longer than it should have to make as it's a bit complicated - but it was so worth the time!

That's all for now, thank you!

all pictures in the post are my own
