Winter Bucket-List Utah | How I got Started Filmmaking

in #video8 years ago (edited)

In this video I talk about how I got started being a full-time filmmaker and I share with you the first video I ever posted. This is a video about a lot of awesome adventures available in Utah that were things I always wanted to try, but never made the time or saved the money to do them. But I got a job I hated, saved up and bought some video equipment, and was lucky enough to be able to try these things (and bring along some friends) In exchange for making videos.

I hope you like it, and that it gives you a better idea of who I am and where I came from. You should definitely have Utah on your bucket-list, there's a lot to see.

This was a beautiful cinematic video and it already looked so professional. It’s actually pretty cool in my opinion that you set your own quality level at time already so high before even starting to upload on YouTube. Thanks Jeff! Your videos are way too underrated sometimes!

I just really put in the work on that one, I knew what I wanted to make and I watched tutorials for anything I couldn't figure out how to do, it was seriously 2 weeks of editing since I had to keep stopping to learn the program better. Thank you Matthias!

Great adventures, nice video! You could make a whole documentary video of each of those activities, or you could offer the companies to produce ads for them. With your talent, you could make a well-going business filming lots of nice things out there.

Pretty solid. For a 'first' video it was a lot better than most vlogs online. Definitely better than my vlogs from a technical standpoint. But, wow... it's really beautiful out there man. Probably cold, but beautiful. And the humor...so dry...

Thanks man, it really helped having some friends coming along as my crew, and it took me like 2 weeks to edit. The dog-sledding and zip-lining weren't very cold, but I thought I had frostbite on my fingers and toes after flying the drone at the ice castles/sleigh-ride part. It was still a ton of fun though.

Well. It definitely was worth the effort. Looked fun indeed.

Those came out awesome. Pretty perfect if you ask me. I'm sure the reaction jumped started your passion!

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!
