From Dusk till Dawn

Not your average vampire movie.

I did quite enjoy this movie as it was slightly different take on your typical vampire movie. Are the "good" guys really good, or are they flawed? This movie does spend some time in character development and then almost switches to a cartoon style action packed movie. The end result is one very enjoyable movie.



In case your not familiar with the plot, we have two brothers that rob a bank, and continue their crime spree while making their getaway to Mexico. This isn't going to be a quick trip due to the implied distance, hence they stop at a motel.

Also at the motel is a minister with his son and daughter, only he has lost his faith in God. They are travelling across the country in their RV and decided to splurge by spending a night a motel.

The police however are following the brother crime trail and have followed them to the motel. The brother spot the RV and take the family hostage, they use the minister's help to cross the border into Mexico.

The brother's have a scheduled meeting with their contact the next morning and force the family to take them to the meeting place that afternoon with the promise to let them go in the morning. The meeting place is a bar known as the Titty twister whose only patrons are bikers and truckers.

What the group don't yet know is that the bar is owned, fully staffed and run by vampires. When the sun goes down the doors are locked and the vampires feed. So now it is a battle between the living and the living dead. Can they survive until the dawn? Should the brothers survive?

This is definitely worth watching if you like action movies, or vampire movies or movies by Quentin Tarantino.
