Super Bowl Sunday. It's something that many of us look forward to every year.

I think most people watch it on a big screen TV at their house or at their friend's houses. That's a good way to work out the evening, because you can drink for cheap using store bought beers.... and if you get too loaded you can wait until you sober up.

Any good friend is unlikely to kick his drunk friends out and have them drive when they're in a state that is not appropriate for the road.

Some people don't like to have a Super Bowl party at their house though. They'd rather go out somewhere where there is lots of noise, members of the opposite sex, and all the food and drink you can possibly imagine.

For a price that is.

Many people are willing to pay that price whatever it is. That's because we all work for a living and you've got to splurge on yourself once in awhile.

Those people that do want to go out to a restaurant are likely going to choose a sports bar. That's because sports bars are completely set up to support large groups, and they will definitely be playing your favorite game. If they weren't they wouldn't be much of a sports bar.

Not every restaurant is a sports bar though. Sports bars have licenses for their TVs, and also for the audio on those TVs.

Most restaurants around here do not actually license the audio. Have you ever gone to a restaurant and noticed that they are playing something on the TV but they don't have it turned up at all?

That's because they can't turn the volume up. Turning it up cost money.

So when people go out to a restaurant like mine and they might be able to watch the Super Bowl but they're not going to enjoy it nearly as much as if they had gone to some place like Hooters or Buffalo Wild Wings.

For the most part means that we don't get a lot of guests. However, the gas that we do get are mostly stressed out. Something like the Super Bowl might be a lot of fun but also causes a lot of stress in a variety of different people.

I had three different guests today breakdown screaming. Of course it was really inappropriate because it took place in front of the entire restaurant.

However, a restaurant is the only place I've ever seen where people feel it's okay to behave inappropriately and then come back the next day as if nothing ever happened.

Yes it took more than 30 seconds for my friend to greet a table today. We were all very busy but this man decided to scream and curse at his server, and then punch the table, and then walk out, and then punch the door. It really only took about 30 seconds to get to him so I have no idea why he was upset.

I can pretty much guarantee that he's going to be back within the next couple of weeks and act as if nothing happened. In fact, the next few times will see him he'll probably act very happy. That's it we're real oddity that happens in the restaurant business.

So it was a pretty busy day. Much busier than I expected. The main issue was how frustrated and stressed out everyone was. Some of the servers were stressed out, but they guests were acting as if they were just walking out of some terrible situation. Almost every one of them.

It's over now though and I can reflect on it and relax for the rest of my evening. I will say though that Super Bowl Sunday is an interesting time you work at a restaurant.

he punched it maybe because of what he saw.lol

I'm wondering why it cost a money to turn up the volume?
