Disappearing posts are infuriating.

in #life9 years ago (edited)

There is nothing like writing an hour long post only to have it vanish without posting at all.

How unfair is that?

It doesn't even save the post.

When you click on "Post" it isn't there anymore.

I guess from now on we need to start writing our posts in some kind of word processor.

It really makes me not want to spend as much time on my posts knowing that there is a chance that they're just going to disappear into the abyss.

This is the third time I've written this particular post and now I have it saved just in case.

The previous one that took an hour is gone forever.

Is this happening to everyone else too?

Have you written a long post only to have it completely vanish?

Fortunately, no. I almost did, but I think I figured out how to avoid losing it.
You click Post
The circle goes around and around and never stops.
You check Steemd and see it hasn't posted.
Don't click out of the Post screen. This is where you lose it.
Open up a new tab in your browser and go to your Steemit page.
Click Post and your full post should pop up.
Now you can close your original browser tab with the unposted post.
Try posting again.
Repeat, if necessary.

Hopefully this gets fixed soon. It happens when I up vote and try to claim rewards too.
