Cherries are delicious. They are naturally sweet and a great accompaniment for almost any bar drink.
You can even just put cherries with a little bit of sugar in water and have a nice tasting treat.
In fact, a lot of people that are trying to take advantage of the system and not actually buy a drink will ask for water with a couple of packets of sugar, some lemons, and a couple of cherries.
This used to happen a lot but it's not happening as much these days.
Most of your neighborhood bars will have a general assortment of fruit similar to what you see here underneath the counter.
Fresh lemons, limes, oranges, cherries and green olives.
We cut our fruit fresh every morning although we get our cherries from a giant jar.
When I was a kid I used to love to drink a Roy Rogers.
It's basically a Cherry Coke made by using Coca Cola, grenadine, and putting a couple cherries in it.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone order a Roy Rogers at our bar. I think today they just call it a Cherry Coke and then they might suggest that you add a couple of cherries on top.
