Obeying Jesus Christ

Hi Steemians ! A wonderful day to you all . We had our monthly Women's fellowship last night and Sis Marlyn shared about the first miracle Jesus did when He changes the water into wine

On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, [2] and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. [3] 3 When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.”
in this passage . the wedding must have been one of Mary's relative because Mary was busy helping out and she also was concern when the banquet had run out of wine

although Jesus said His time has not yet come but because He loves and care for His mother Jesus obeyed His mother's request .

His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you .” [6] Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons. [7] 7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim

Brim means the upper edge or the outer margin .It means when the Lord tells us something , we should obey it to the fullest , no questions asked.

Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.”

in this verse . Sister Marlyn shared the master of the banquet refers to us , Gods people , that when we obey the Lord's leading then we can draw or take from that blessing .That God will bless us and we can enjoy His blessings when we follow His will and the Lord always saved the best for us as shown in verse 10 said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”

Yes , the first thing we should do is always call on the Lord when we encounter any difficulties , wait for His leading and follow it to the fullest , do not doubt and when we entrust everything to the Lord , He will give us the best blessings ,for the Lord always save the best for last
