Starting with greeting and respect. Hello, I'm @jebanikajeba, from Bangladesh. I hoped that everyone is doing well enough, by the grace of Almighty. One of my favorite recipes is the Wax Gourd Broth Curry, which I'm sharing a delicious recipe for with Hilsa Fish today. This Wax gourd is a seasonal vegetable that has always been my favourite. This is a very simple and authentic recipe of my village. The spices I add for cooking in a very small quantity because village people don't add lost of spices in there cooking. Because village people believe that adding little spices is enhanced the real flavour of any food. A lot of Wax gourds are being sold in the vegetable market for a few days. So I present this palatable curry recipe of Wax gourd and Hilsa fish to all and expect everyone appreciation.

Cooking Ingredients:

Wax gourd 1
Hilsa fish 1
Onion 1 medium
Ginger paste ½ teaspoon
Garlic paste 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder 2 tbsp
Red chilli powder 2 tbsp
Salt as per need
Cooking oil as per need

Cooking Process:

In this step, I washed a wax gourd very well, cut it into pieces, boiled it for 10 minutes, and then lightly fried it with turmeric powder and salt.

In this step, I cut the Hilsa fish into few pieces, and washed all the pieces, and fried them well with turmeric powder, chilli powder, and a little bit of salt.

In this step, I put a pan on the gas stove, After heating the pan, I added cooking oil, chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric and red chilli powder, and salt. Then I fried all the spices very well.

In this step, I add water to the spices and leave them to boil.

In this step, after boiling the water, I add the fried wax gourd and Hilsa fish to the pan and finish the cooking Process.

In this step, I served the broth curry of wax gourd, and Hilsa fish into a bowl.

Wax gourds are a very nutritious vegetable in the monsoon season of Bangladesh. There are various types of vitamins, minerals, and fibre in it, so the benefits of Wax gourd are many. A variety of curry items can be cooked with Wax gourd. Moreover, marmalade made with Wax gourds is a very delicious and demanding food.
