Carrelet

Carrelet fishing is practiced in western France, just on the banks of the Gironde estuary.
It is a large square net immersed in the sea and then raised by pulleys to the cabin that protects fishermen while they wait.

The photographic process used is Van Dike, a solution of silver nitrate, tartaric acid and ammoniacal iron citrate, which is applied by brush to paper ("antique photo" from Lana).
The negative, here a Toy camera negative, the Holga, is scanned and enlarged and then printed on transparent.
The printing is done by contact, i. e. by collecting the paper and the negative and then by exposing it (sun or uv),

Carrelet

On pratique la pèche au carrelet dans l’ouest de la France, juste au bord de l’estuaire de la Gironde.
C’est un grand filet carré plongé dans la mer puis remonté à l’aide de poulies jusqu’à la cabane qui protège les pécheurs pendant l’attente.

Le procédé photographique utilisé est le Van Dike, une solution de nitrate d’argent, d’acide tartrique et de citrate de fer ammoniacal, qui est déposée au pinceau sur du papier (« photo antique » de chez Lana).
Le négatif, ici un négatif de Toy camera, la Holga, est numérisé et agrandi puis imprimé sur du transparent.
Le tirage se fait par contact c’est à dire en rassemblant la papier et le négatif puis en l’insolant (soleil ou uv),
