Soft Pastel with Colour Pencil Art #36: PINK ROSE

Good day steemians :) I made another art :) I tried to use soft pastel now, I was curious how to use this material. And then, here it is! I hope you will like it guys.

I use soft pastel with color pencil for tracing the parts of flower, it is still difficult for me to trace little parts by just using soft pastel so I use some Color pencil for tracing the parts.

So, I made details for making this art.

Just grab this materials:

• Paper (1/2 crosswise of short bondpaper)
• Pencil (ordinary pencil, I usually use Fabre castell)
• Colour Pencil
• Soft Pastel
• Your Fingers ( HAHAHA )

Here’s the process for making this art.

1. Sketch the flower, stem and leaves. Make it lightly, we will not use eraser for this art.

2. Trace the stem and shade it using soft pastel, don’t be afraid that the pastel will leak what you sketch. It’s part of the art.

3. Spread the pastel by using your fingers, rub it. Make sure that your motion of your hand is just up and down.

4. Trace the petals of the flower, by shading using pastel. Same for the stem, don’t be afraid to make a leak.

5. Do the same, spread the pastel using your finger, rub it. Make sure that your finger is clean so that, it will not mix any colour. You can also rub your fingers in the open space of paper. It will make as your background

6. Now trace the petals using colour pencil, I used red for tracing it. I don’t have pink colour pencil so I use red. Hahaha. Make sure your colour pencil is sharp.

Now, trace the steems and leaves of the flower, use a colour pencil of it. You can add some veins of larger leaves, still use a colour pencil to it.

7. Add some details to your art, add more colour to it, rub it - spread the pastel and don’t be afraid to make a leak.

8.Make the background, just rub your fingers in the open space of the paper. Make it darker on the sides of your flower art.

And you are done!
