Motocross: My latest creation

I'm wondering if we have any motocross riders here on steemit. I want to share a little bit about the latest dirt bike I built. I've never been a person who likes brand new toys, i'd rather get it in a box and learn something new while building it.

Orginally the dirt bike is a 1986 xr 250r. Very versatile bike of its time. They were great to ride on/off road. This particular dirt bike was purchased in pieces and with a blown up motor.

Once I got the bike back together I added a handful of modifications

• welded a kickstand on. The previous one had been broken off
• new exhaust system and Cobra muffler
• bored out cylinder and new Wiseco piston. (Changing the cc from 250 to 265).
• hand grips
• racing clutch
• racing camshaft
• new front and rear tires (not shown in picture)
• front brake pads
• new chain
• new sprocket (same gearing)

At this point the bike is almost brand new besides the plastics. It's a blast to ride! I'm looking to enter a few enduro races this fall.

I'm curious if anyone else rides? Watcha got?
