I like Any Hoffman, but there is one area I disagree with him. I am a big fan of physical gold and silver, I'm also a fan of Crypto's. Where I disagree with him is on his opinion of companies that store gold for you around the world. He does not say the name, but he is obviously referencing Goldmoney because he describes their service including the prepaid credit card they provide so you can buy Starbucks coffee if you wanted to. I've been using Goldmoney now for a year and it's been fantastic. I would not put more than a few thousand dollars in the account, but I sleep better knowing it's there, especially because I travel around the world. I can't carry two ounces of gold with me, but I can carry my prepaid card. Even if the USD collapsed, I'd have my card to buy a flight home or pay for hotel and the gold backed value is the security. When I get paid from work, I try and get rid of the fiat currency as soon as possible. Pay bills, some goes to crypto, a small amount to gold money, some i put in a foreign bank account and then I pay off as much debt as possible on mortgages. While I put more money into crypto's and continue to stack physical, I would not discount having a small amount in Goldmoney .
if you need funds then I'd go with Crypto's first. If your lucky enough to make some gains then Goldmoney is a good place to park a few thousand. They accept bitcoin as a deposit method. Certainly if your looking for gains now then crypto all the way. Feels like we are playing with loaded dice in our favor at the moment
