Just for this day... I need a little bit of John.

My favorite too, I think it should become a hymn of the world.

Amen! I agree!

Timeless!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!

Thank you. It is and I can remember my mother singing it as she walked around the house!! Totally timeless!

nothing sweeter than 90's rock!!!!!

When I go about my stuff at home, nothing like having 90's rock to keep you company.
I actually prefer classic rock from any time period. I prefer closing with Pink Floyd though.

LOVE this song and video. I actually knew the lady in the opening scene. She called herself 'The Fish Lady'
She had an amazing sense of humor.

A follow up on yesterday's D&D session ;)

BEAUTIFUL!

I got a power!!😀💪

Another fabulous song.

HONEST LYRICS! Very nice!

What a pleasure to find something with music ... I suggest something classic, played in many versions. I really like. Thank you!
The White Buffalo - The House of The Rising Sun

So glad to cross paths with another music lover too ;)

Goodness - such a ageless classic!!!!! Have never heard this version before. LOVE IT!!!

Thank you! For the same reason I proposed this version. I listened for the first time a few days ago.
I would like to participate in the PHC (I've seen a few friends involved) but I must first understand what the requirements are, to see if I qualify.

This post pretty much sums it all up and gives you the link to the applications server :) @bluemoon

@jaynie,

Alright Jaynie. Here's a folk classic hit from Nova Scotia, Canada where I grew up. You better love this ... because it makes us cry.

The "Mira" is a river.

.
And here's a second song in an effort to guilt you into finally, after so many non-winning entries, awarding Poor Ol' Quill with a prize.

.

.
FunFact (which adds a LOT of value to this entry):

Ray Stevens was first asked to record the song for the movie that made it famous, "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid." He turned it down. Next, Bob Dylan was approached. He too declined.

Eventually, the song was recorded by B.J. Thomas. While recording the film version (which includes interludes), Thomas was recovering from laryngitis which made his voice sound raspy. People LOVED it. The problem was that in subsequent performances of this mega-hit, he could never reproduce the raspiness which people had come to love ... and expect.

I don’t know if it’s the reggae like vibe or what, but lately I can’t get enough of the song. It actually makes me smile and feel good when I listen to it. Sort of upbeat and catchy it makes me feel like I’m on vacation! And that’s not a bad thing .. At All. :-D

Love the interesting video for the KYGO MIGUEL song you posted! Freaky-cool!

Although I'd heard of the band THE BLACK KEYS several years ago, I had not heard this song until my brother brought it to my attention earlier today. Love the instrumentation and the very obvious Blues-influence in this piece:

VERY COOL!!!! Love feel good tunes like this! Was listening to this one earlier... (different genre and style - same feel good result haha)

Well, there's another group I've never heard of... Nathaniel Rateliff.. so many to keep up with!
