Save For the Rainy Day
Wish I knew what it takes to save for the rainy day
Some say its good, that it secures your future
But to some its a waste of time
I work so hard, so I could get paid
Every night all work and no play
I work myself so hard each passing day
Like someone who's cursed during birth
At the end, not even a single pay
For all its worth, I rest my case
Like the jury in court fighting a real case
Majority think am hopeless,
My siblings think am worthless
Tolu and i both rode same boat
To the land of no return
Gorgeously dressed in a beautiful coat
To meet the master of great beyond
In our hands was an envelope
In exchange for a good cause
We toiled the forest of riches and wealth
Hunger and thirst was the song on our lips
But no one would rescue us from the den of death
It was a wasted effort, only option was to flee
Before the wild animal sees us as meal
Savings is not a curse, but a mandate to the future.
