Old Time Melbourne in Modern Day Times

This is my entry into the Amateur photography division of #derangedphotography Deranged Photography Contest run by @derangedvisions. The theme is 'Take It To The Streets'.

This is a photo taken in the city streets of Melbourne in Australia from a recent family trip. I feel like there's a great mesh of two time eras in this photo. There's the wonderful old buildings with their exquisite architecture on one side of the street, with modern buildings on the other. There's the old City Circle tram with modern day cars. In the center of the photo you've got the famous Flinders Street Station in all its glory with a towering skyscraper in the background.

The cherry on top for me is the two gentlemen standing in the street, this reminds me of a time where that is what people did, where neighboring folk would sit out on their footpaths and talk and laugh and spend their days together. This photo for me holds a lot of old world charm from a time of yesteryear in a modern day photo.
