African art as we all know describes the modern and sculptures, historical paintings, and other visual culture from native Africans or the African continent.
The definition also include the art of the native Africans and the African diasporas.

African art has helped in the role of shaping the culture and history of the world. It is believed through out the world that African is the cradle of history of mankind, and it remains unshakeable.

African art and culture cannot be separated, they are one of the same, Culture is the history, practices and beliefs that makes up a society, while art is seldom used for decorative purposes and also give life to the values, emotions and daily customs of various ethnic groups throughout the continent.
