Great post. I enjoyed reading about the live broadcast and van allan radiation belts. You've eased some doubts, but the data has not resurfaced to my knowledge. Why is finding evidence of the landing so difficult?
The biggest thing I disagree on is Occam's Razor comment. None of the people you mentioned would know it was fake... If it was really a conspiracy. I would think they built and designed parts for the mission. They all had to think it was real. They built the landing capsule and tested it on Earth, and never had a successful landing, but they landed 6 perfectly on the moon. All those people starring at computers were looking at one specific thing... hose temps, tracking, comms, they didn't have the whole picture. It could have been staged and most of the people involved wouldn't know the difference. The astronauts would though. That is why that press conference is so compelling to me. Granted it would be a monumental feat, but they they billions of dollars to throw at it too. Most people would keep their mouth shut to keep their family alive and for a million bucks or so. I don't know. I still hope we landed on the moon, but like I said, I have doubts. I won't go so far to say we didn't, but there are a lot of questions that I still have. Thanks for the great post and discussion.
You're right that data is still AWOL, whether its actually missing or just misfiled - who knows. On keeping it quite - I guess if you had a few ring leaders 'wagging the dog' and everyone else was in the dark... perhaps. Ya, I too love these types of discussions... some discussions I get a little more animated depending on the topic. I love researching the topic, learning about some of the details and sharing. Thanks man.
It's like Enron, only the top, top guys really knew what was going on and a few employees suspected something, but 99.9% of the people had no idea. They thought they were working for a great company. I like these discussions too.
