Hippocrates is called the father of medicine. He was an ancient Greek physician who is traditionally known as one of the most outstanding scientists in the history of medicine. Hippocrates lived for about 2400 years and died on the outskirts of Larissa when he was 104 years old. He wrote and taught under the shade of a big plane tree, about medicine.

Can egg yoke increase blood pressure? Myth or true.

Well, firstly I will say that the idea that egg yolk increases blood pressure is more of a myth than a proven fact because we all have been eating eggs before now. However, egg yolk is high in cholesterol which many people think significantly impacts blood cholesterol levels and thus cardiovascular health like increased blood pressure. According to scientists, dietary cholesterol has a relatively small effect on blood cholesterol levels for some people.

Scientists also, tell us that egg yolks contain nutrients like protein, minerals, and vitamins, which can be part of a healthy diet. We need to consider the overall dietary pattern and lifestyle factors, like physical activity, sodium intake, and weight balance when we are looking at our blood pressure.

How many calories egg contain?

It is said that a large egg contains about 70 to 80 calories. This includes both the egg white and the yolk. The yolk alone contains more calories, fat, and cholesterol when compared to the egg white, which is mostly very low in calories and protein.
