PHOTO GAMES - SEASON 1 - The introduction of something exciting for the community
ABOUT THE PHOTO GAMES
We are starting an ongoing series of games to entertain and interact with the Steemit community. Every week there will be new games and new competitors doing game posts. The whole community (photographers and non photographers) can play along and win prizes (monetary) as the “Photo Game Stars” also compete against each other for the glory (bragging rights).
There is always a PUBLIC aspect to each game and a side game for the “PHOTO GAME STARS” … The public wins prizes/money and the stars win Bragging Rights.

NEW COMPETITORS
Each week we’ll have different guest stars play against us as well.
We’ll also keep track of who wins each week and crown a season winner at the end. So play now and win some money. We’re already starting to keep an eye out for who to have as guests in upcoming weeks and regulars for season 2.
The Photo Game Stars do not have to be professional photographers
There’s more to it than just skills but doesn’t hurt if they know how to use a camera

HOW IT STARTED
PhotoGames was created one evening in January 2018 by 3 photographers, @jarvie, @derekkind and @caseygrimley, while talking about Steemit post ideas including how to get the photography community closer together. I suggested we do an ongoing series of Photography Games every week.
Since then we’ve brainstormed dozens of fun games that the Steemit community could enjoy, (photographer or not): games to spur creativity and foster interaction with each other and learn and grow in their own photography.
WHO ARE WE
@Jarvie - has been a well known FULL TIME photographer for 10+ years, he has judged many competitions, created his own games and competitions for many years and helped grow photo communities in Utah and online (Google Plus) and has recently created the Photography Decathlon, an in-person 2 day competition.

@derekkind - a Canadian who’s been taking photography seriously since 2011. He’s won many photographic competitions, including two team victories in the Photography Decathlon. Happiest when he’s out travelling and taking pictures, Derek is transitioning into full-time photographer status, focusing on landscape and real estate photography.

@caseygrimley - Casey has been doing photography since 2013 and works as an drafter in Ogden, Utah. Known for his photos in and around Ogden, his “Dancing with the Stars” photos, and supporting the IDA Dark Sky parks in Northern Utah, the North Fork Dark Sky Park and Antelope Island Dark Sky Park.

We’re part of a group of friends who’ve been going on yearly adventures which we call “Stars N’ Cars” (multi-day road trips to photograph landscapes in particular at night). Hence our affinity to the word STARS. That and we all love night photography.

If you are found cheating (intentional or not) you will get a warning; however, if it is severe and intentional there may be no warning: ye shall be banished / blacklisted from playing ever again, and you will not be rewarded anything financially.
PLAGIARISM / THEFT
If you’re ever asked to submit a picture or post for a game it must be your very own content.

We’re specially excited for all the people coming to steemit from other social media outlets that don’t even plan on blogging - they just have told us they want to come play. We will have you. Some of them will appeal to different people. Today is a little more of a technical game and pretty simple you could do all the posts on the 5 posters in like 3 minutes.
One i'm excited for is Title Tuesday... each post will have a list of the games for the week.
