An Ambitious Project - Week 51 Midweek Update
I was going to wait till the week 50 update but I'm kind of excited about where we are traveling so I'm going to share now.
I knew that taking on a collaborator whose imagination was fertile would pay off in spades. It has and we are very excited about the prospects. In my last update we had hit a snag. We talked it out a bit and the whole project has started on a completely different path. Let me run it down for you thus far.
Our bounty hunter has been hired by edge to find a scientist who has stolen something from them. The something is a dog who has been genetically modified and carries the formula with it. The scientist doesn't want EDGE to have the formula because he/she knows their intended goal. The bounty hunter knows none of this. Now here is the exciting part, at least for us. The dog is the focus of the story now! We came up with a multitude of ideas all centering on what the dog is capable of and where this could go. We haven't decided on a gender for the scientist yet because we're not quite sure if we want to throw a little romantic element in or make it a buddy type situation with the human counterparts. We have started writing so we are now on our way with a plot in place. I understand there are many more hurdles ahead of us but I think we are up to the challenge. If nothing more comes of this than we got to write an awesome story and learned some new skills along the way I'll be happy. We are having a good time with this.
