Delightful Sukiyaki

Ingredients
one tablespoon vegetable oil
one and half pounds beef sirloin strips
quarter cup soy sauce
two teaspoons monosodium
quarter cup chicken broth
quarter cup white sugar
three small onions, sliced
two cups chopped celery
one (fourteen ounce) can bamboo shoots, drained and sliced
four green onions, sliced
one (four ounce) can mushrooms, drained
one (eight ounce) can water chestnuts, drained
one teaspoon cornstarch
Instructions:
Heaten up the oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Brown beef in hot oil, then mix in soy sauce, broth, and sugar. Blend in onion and celery, and cook till smootth. Mix in bamboo shoots, green onions, mushrooms, and water chestnuts. Lessen the heat to medium, mix in cornstarch, and simmer till sauce is thickened.
