My #ulog #12 - One long weekend!
This post may come way way too late but I wanted to share anyway that I had a pretty long weekend last week. My sister and I, together with her daughter had the chance to attend a graduation blowout of 3 nieces and 2 nephews at Baguio City. Yes, it’s the season of graduation and it’s really a time to celebrate a milestone of achievement both for the graduates and the proud parents.
So off we went with great excitement. The thought of going up the City of Pines and sunflowers never fail to excite me. I so love the cool breeze that welcomes us as we get closer to the city. Plus knowing that we would get to see again relatives we rarely meet. Venue was at a hotel located at Legarda Road. We arrived there earlier than the celebrators
We were happy to see relatives from our mother side. One that fascinated me much was this little baby who was the daughter of my niece. Ain’t she cute?
We had a great fellowship however short. It was hello and goodbye...for now!
Then we went to this popular mall to buy some stuff after which we headed home. I would say that it was a great day had it not been for one untoward incident that we incurred along the way. While still at Qiirino Highway fronting Coyeesan Plaza Hotel, our car was bumped/hit from behind by a vehicle whose driver was under the influence of liquor. We were negotiating a heavy traffic when we got hit and it took place around 5:00
Good thing that there was a police station in the area so we were assisted immediately. However, we were detained for more than an hour since the police had to summon the wife of the driver because he was not in his proper state of mind to deal with as he was drunk. While waiting for the summoned person to arrive, there I saw how busy a police station could be. People come and go to file complaints.
One case showed a young lady carrying a little boy then sideswiped by a jeep. I took a picture of the cute little boy. Another one was an accident involving a motorcycle. Some were there to redeem car plates that were confiscated for illegal parking, etc. Undoubtedly one busy place.
Finally, the driver’s wife and his sister arrived. And agreements of settlement were made. With police report at hand, we left the place shortly before 7:00 pm.
Accidents do happen and we just praised God that it was nothing serious with us.
So I call it a long weekend because so much has happened in one day.
Thank you for your time, my friend. To God be all the glory and honor!
😊JOY AND PEACE BE TO EVERYONE!
