Book Pre-Review: Win Bigly By Scott Adams
I just got it in the mail. Thus, I have not read it yet.
But, back in the start of 2016 I was absolutely sure that Donald Trump was going to become President. So sure that I told everyone I knew and also bet a pretty large amount of money on a Trump victory.
I also tried to find like-minded individuals that saw Trump as the becoming President.
Thus, I was attracted to Scott Adams’ blog
Scott Adams predicted very early on that Trump would become President.
Scott Adams is besides from being the father of Dilbert, a trained hypnotist and an expert on persuasion techniques.
Thus, he saw Trump’s presidential campaign through a persuasion lense.
Even though he believed Trump to become President, he changed his mind transiently several times during the campaign, according to the events unfolding (he would perhaps deny this retrospectively, even SA is not immune to cognitive fallacies). But, his analysis about the persuasion Trump used in his campaign was mind-blowing.
That said, I would recommend this book because it is going to contain information about world class persuasion techniques Trump uses, that will make you gain deeper understanding about Trump as well as hypnosis and persuasion techniques in general.
Life is also about playing the right movie. The leftists have their movie, where Trump is kind of a Hitler in spe. He could not win. When he won, it unleashed a plethora cognitive dissonance.
I also actually see lots of cognitive dissonance in people that say Bitcoin is a scam and so forth.
They are really smart people, but confronted with the fact that Bitcoin has had a tremendous growth so far, it creates cognitive dissonance. If they are wrong, then they are ‘dumb’ and their identities as experts are scattered. Otherwise smart people writes and say they most stupid things.
They compare Bitcoin with the Tulip mania etc.
Thus, this is probably the best indirect argument for Bitcoin, that the side against it is hallucinating big time. I am beware that I myself might be wrong though, so if people ask me, I advice them to put 5-10% in Bitcoin (and related digital assets).
So, consider buying this book if you want to learn about world class persuasion.
Although a fan, I didn't expect him to win! Still enjoyed the campaign and the meme wars and all the triggering. Him winning icing on the cake. Even if he turns out to be a shitty president, I still won't have any regrets. It's not like the alternative would be any better.
Waiting for the book review.
I do not think Trump is going to be a shitty POTUS: He is hyperintelligent (probably in the IQ +150), a Master Persuader and a good person. So, nice call @trumpman!
Agree with you @janusface
First of all, thanks for the recommendation
If I buy the book and read it I will be president in the future?
Probably not, but you will have a much better grasp of reality, and perhaps be able to predict who is going to be presidents in the future etc.
OK - You've convinced me, I'll read the book
To me who elected Donald Trump where the democrats because they choosen Hilary!! IF they had chosen Bernie he would be the president!
Difficult to say... We don't know that:)
i only wanted trump to win because he had talked too much so i wanted to see what he is going to do.
Yes, I think many people vote for him for exactly that reason.
pretty good :) @januface
we waiting
I am not going to write a review. I do know the content in the book (but I have read it now, it is good).
Thank you @janusface for the excellent advice to read this book and you are right, many still do not understand how the world has changed and become multipolar! This can be understood both from politics and the economy as a whole. The old world is gone and Bitcoin proved it!
