Beyond 3000: How High Can Steemit Go?

in #steemit7 years ago

As We speak Steemit has crossed the world 3000 Alexa rank (rank 2962).
This is an extremely fast pace (rank 4115, 23 days ago)!

The Steem price has fallen even when though the Alexa rank has decreased.
Is there maybe not a causality between Alexa rank and Steem price?

Anyhow, I think we are in a distribution phase of Steem and it is a good idea to buy some Steem cheap and power it up!

What do you think fellow Steemians, with all this new Traffic: How high can Steemit go in 2017?

Thank you for your time and attention. Steem on!

Sooner or later it will reach the top 1000!
I think reddit is in the top 10 so if reddit can reach there, if we give steemit time I think we can get there as well.
Keep promoting and spreading steemit! :)

Yes, Reddit has global rank 9 and US rank 5. I think Steemit can be as big as reddit. So I agree with you analysis:)

I'm beginning to have some doubts that Steemit will ever reach such levels as reddit or Facebook. I think that it's more realistic to expect it to enter in the top 100, but not as high as the top 10.

It's still too complicated for the average internet user to understand the workings of a system like Steemit. We have to keep in mind that more than 90% of the general population haven't even heard of cryptocurrencies or blockchain.

I think it will take at least another 10 years until these concepts will mature enough in the public consciousness to be accepted and used at a large scale. The internet started to be a thing in 93-94 and it took about 10 years to really go mainstream. :)

There are a few examples of websites that came up with new concepts, but launched too early and failed. For example Pets.com.

Let's hope @ned and his team are in this for the long run.

Yes, Steemit is probably to complicated to understand for most people. I like the puzzling nature of Steemit though. You have to use your brain. Yes, being to early can be extremely risky. But Steemit has a nice support from other digital assets and also the internet is now matured.

I think that steemit will be the first social network in the world because it has the potential to be, it is a new concept different in the world in the social networks, it is time to invest a deep money And time
Thank you for this post:)

When we steemians stop talking about steemit. That's when we'll have made it. I'm confident it's gonna happen. To the MOOOOON!!

Steemians are not going to stop talking about Steemit (or digital currencies) anytime soon. So, I guess we have to conquer the world in the meantime. The moon is probably a pretty boring place anyway. No hot girls:)

I think steemit has lot of potential to reach in top in some years :)

depends on regular updates and solid development, we are still in beta as long they dont change the status it can be hard to compete against big players

Good points. If we are going to go 'viral' I think we need the site to be more user-friendly for not tech-savvy people.
