For one, a car is out of budget this time. Though on top of that, I do not think I can keep a car here in Metro Manila due to its maintenance. With the killer traffic problem we have, I may not be able to cope with that. Several times I have been caught up in traffic and I just get out to find other means - either hail a motorcycle or just go back home. I wonder those who own their transport that they can't leave their cars behind. I heard this concern several times from others because there were instances when people get trapped in traffic jam for long hours. They wished they can just get out and walk.
And my mother will not agree. :D It was in mid 2000 when I hinted on buying a car but my mother almost cried pleading me not to. She said I am living in Manila alone and a lady in or with a car will be an eye-catcher for thugs. That made me thinking...
howdy again macoolette! whoa...an eye-catcher for thugs...crime is that bad there? I mean everyone here has a car and no one thinks about it.

Crime is not that bad but you don't want to see it through that. I stopped tracking cost of cars when I forgot abut buying one so I don't know. It can be more expensive this year because of the increased in excise tax of automobiles.
Cab can not take you anywhere when you are caught in a traffic jam while motorcycle can squeeze you in and be on your way. There are no public motorcycle ride in majority of the cities but if a private one comes along, there are still good people who help and will give you a ride.
ha! wow macoolette I've never heard of such a thing but it all seems like a colossal hassle! to get anywhere I mean. I don't suppose there are companies close to you or you would already be working for them to reduce the stress and headache of commuting.
Too bad you can't just work at home but if steem goes up enough in price you'd be able to wouldn't you?
