RE: Self-Disclosure, Educational Illustrations... and Having a Pity Party

in #psychology6 years ago

howdy @denmarkguy! well sir, I generally hate self-disclosure because I'm an introvert but I do use it sparingly to illustrate a point or to laugh at myself.
but pity-parties are terrible. They're boring and make the person look weak and pathetic. And I see quite a bit of that going on. Everyone needs to read this post and check themselves!
lol. thank you sir!

I think it's definitely a good idea to "check yourself" every now and then. Let's face it, we all have bad days, and sometimes it really does help to vent about everything we felt went wrong. I'm perfectly OK with that... but sometimes people just seem to get stuck in "I was hurt by this, that and the other!" and it starts to take over and defines their life.

yes sir then they develop a victim mentality and at that point it's miserable to be around them!
maybe Steemit should have a Criers Club.

Loosely related... it will be very interesting to see what happens when Steemit releases the "communities/HiveMind" feature for general use.

sir denmarkguy..yes it will be, I forgot about that feature that is supposed to be coming...someday!
