howdy today @cicisaja! wow..this is an amazing tradition that you all have other there! I've never heard of such a thing, but this is rare correct?
I mean it doesn't happen often? It is a waste of life, so sad. To fight to the death because someone has a different opinion about something as silly
as politics or whatever the topic is, the World Cup for instance?

Shocking, I hope this stops. thanks so much for explaining this to me. Hey this would make a great post! People have no idea that this type of thing goes on, even if it's not common.

thanks so much cicisaja for the great commenting! see I helped you build your comment lengths! lol.

and I helped you out too... hahahaha, we know this will good for both of us :D but Still... I'll never ne a contender for you, thank you anyway.

I like the idea to write about that tradition, but.. I can't do that because it's hard to find the sources, though I knew someona already wrote about this tradition in his disertation, I will look into his book. there's so many quite strange culture and tradition all over Indonesia, killing each other for the pride or self-esteem, being a terorist in the name of faith, fighting between students for unknown reasons but a tradition in between the senior high school and vocational high school, kidnaping the bride to be, early age marriage .. and many more, but it's just happened in a small area .. not a general tradition in every islands and province. somehow they have their own reasons for that.

but I think I will write about my father in law great grand father .. he has a good story to share about his reputation while still young and alive. something like killing people for a pack of cigarette.

howdy back again @cicisaja! whoa! killing someone for a pack of cigarettes? now THAT'S a serious addiction! sounds like something that would happen in the Zombie Apocalypse..
the subject's of kidnapping the bride to be or early age marriages sound fascinating. who kidnaps the brides to be and how young are early marriages..what age?
these are things we know nothing about in the West but are very interesting!
thanks cicisaja!

When I heard My Father In Law tell me about it, I remember the story about buffaloes massacre in your post. I think it was happened in 1940, when we're struggling against collonialism. So it make sense at that time. But now, sometimes a criminal can kill his beloved just because jealousy, rite?

Kidnaping of bride to be usually does by the groom to be, I don't really know the reasons for it, there must be something about "pride of the tribe"tradition. Early marriage age? Last month it still happened in celebes island, the bride is 13 and the groom is 9😢

But I believe that is nothing to compare with the gang rapes in India. Well... there's so many untold story behind every policies and history, knowing that to get a lesson learned and accept the diversity of culture and tradition.

howdy @cicisaja! wow this is so interesting and thanks for sharing.
how would you like to marry a 9 year old? That doesn't make sense to me, what would be the reason, to join two families in a business deal or something?
I've never heard of gang rapes in India, what is going on there?
thanks so much cicisaja!

It doesn't make sense to me too, but the parents said it is a better way to prevent them from getting into trouble of being too close😡 usually, early marriage happened in the poor family, bu letting the daughter goes to other family, it mean to light the burden.

About India Gang rapes, uhmm.. I just read it from news and really appreciate a group of women who use bamboo pole as their weapon to fight the men who do the domestic violence and rape. I think every countries have their own unique story and cultures, to know more about it is one of many reasons to join Steemit😉

Thank you for your time and hospitality @janton. Have a good time😊

howdy @cicisaja! oh yes, now I understand why some families marry off their young girls..because they can't afford to provide for them.

I think you do most of your posts in another language?
hey do you know thekitchenfairy? she writes all of hers in English and Indonesian.
take care, talk later!

I can write in 3 languages😊, acehnese is my mother language, a local tribe language, well we have hundreds tribe in my country. Bahasa Indonesia is the national language and English as my alternative. Well.. I used to write a post in 3 languages, and couldn't help my self to mixed the words in one sentence which make my readers confuse😄 so I separate each post in different language for a week.
