This story is of a beautiful planet known as earth which was clean and ravishing. Everyone living in it couldn’t just get over the little details and uniqueness that it contains. But soon, the humans turned selfish and betrayed the mother earth by introducing things that kept causing serious injuries. Without realizing its side effects this journey of pain continued until one day when the humans thought of doing something about it to undo their previous mistakes. It was then when the path to recycling started off in full swings. Everyone since then has been chanting the slogan of “reuse, reduce and recycle”, doing campaigns, creating awareness, planting trees, promoting it on the social media etc. but the question that remains unanswered is that: Is all of this making any difference? Would this time and effort be worth it or not?

Let’s make a difference!

Considering the facts at hand does prove that ozone layer is under serious danger and if nothing is done to save it then, the people living in it should brace their selves to be facing environment mood swings that are already immense so imagine what the upcoming ones would be like. Even the little effort could contribute to having a greener and better globe not just for you but for the other as well, it’s like serving the humanity by helping the planting trees and throwing less of trash. The words said might get you confused but by minimal garbage I mean reusing the resources in different ways. Here is a list of things that we use because we know that they are in abundant amount but what if they are no more? or we get to a state where we are just able to see piles of trash and nothing else?

Initiate with saving paper:

Throwing paper means more trees being cut down in order to generate a whole new tack of it. Although, a paper can be reused five times more before its fibers get weak. Around 44 million newspapers are thrown in the garbage which denotes that 5 million trees have already died and the rest are taking their last breaths, moving on if you are recycling a paper then it would save seventeen tresses and not only that but also oil of 380 gallons and water of 7 thousand gallons.

Natural resources especially metal like Aluminum:

The energy saved by a single aluminum could allow you to use a supply power to your television set for around three hours plus, a hundred-watt light bulb can also run for no less than four hours. Just think about causing pain to the globe for throwing it away or getting immense advantages from it.

Plastic material:

The popular types that we use are polythene without knowing the benefit of using virgin material and saving two third of the energy for production, it also leads to saving water by 90%. However, buying a material like plastic is not a good approach when we have other options like fiber, cans etc. which can be reused in a more effective way.

Glass- save it too!

It has been proven by several studies that it is 100% re-usable and can make its place from a trash can to the beautiful shelf in less than 7 days. A majority recycle it for transforming it into a glass bottle as it can be used over and over again. It would save fuel (oil) of nine gallons and carbon dioxide. Recycling this would give you 20 points for reduces air pollution, 50 points for less water pollution and it also takes half of the energy. In case you wish to light a hundred-watt light bulb with this also then you can easily do it for four hours.

Food- something we can’t go without! :

Overall 23% of the solid trash is created due to this even after it is biodegradable. Most of the time they are thrown because of not being used but the one prominent problem that arises is that they are packed in the plastic bags that don’t let it get back to the soil. Nonetheless, if something is able to decompose we still put a hurdle in that. Its benefits include reducing plant disease, lessening the need for the chemical fertilizers, having more crop yields, and increase the number of forests that provide us with uncountable things.
