YOU ARE PASSING THROUGH

Isaiah 43:2 begins with the word – “when” and not “if”. “If” is probabilistic; it simply infers that you may or you may not. This is quite different from the passage being conveyed in Isaiah 43:2. The passage insinuates by the word – “when”; that, there comes a time in life when you have to go through the waters, the rivers and the fire. The Scriptures does not exempt us from those “scary” situations. Christianity is not a bed of roses; Jesus never promised that there will be sunshine, He never promised that there will be no rain; He only promised a heart full of singing. Whether it is sunny or rainy, you have a right to the fullness of God’s joy and His joy turns out to be the strength you need to pull you over.
There is no water, river or fire that is permitted to swallow you; heaven has overruled that you are passing through: “when thou passeth through…” with God; you are going somewhere and there is no water or fire that can alter your destination. The worst that can happen is that they will all work to usher you to that place that has been divinely earmarked for you.
In Mark 4:35; Jesus, told His disciples – “Let us pass over unto the other side”. As they went by ship; a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship and it was as if they were not going to pass over unto the other side”, but the mouth of the Lord had spoken it. In the words of the song writer – “whether r the waves or the wrath of the storm tossed sea, no waters can swallow the ship wherein lies the Master of ocean and earth and skies.
Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and said unto the sea – “Peace be still”. God’s Word will always prevail. God’s Word has gone forth concerning you; that, you are passing through the waters, you are not residing in it. Are you walking through the valley? You shall not drown in it; because, underneath thee are the everlasting arms of the Lord. Happy passage!
