Monero: Why is it gaining popularity??

I am a fan of Monero (XMR)cryptocurrency just because of the fact that it provides purely anonymous transaction unlike the main coin we call Bitcoin. As to date Monero has breached the $300 per unit barrier which has attracted a lot of attention, but why exactly is it better ?? In simple terms Monero is fast like Dash but much more secure than Ethereum and Bitcoin. As their developers said that only the person which is sending and receiving are able to see the transaction details . Is it because of the CryptoNote algorithm which is used? That itself can be a good thought and is a good answer , yet Monero is not just gaining more attention because of that . Coinhive using Javascript has been able to create scripts for webminers and this has added a lot of hashing power for the mining pools also helping towards its price rise . Its price is even higher than Litecoins and has lower difficulty to date which has enabled multiple uses for XMR also has created more attention for it . But the result of this is yet to be seen . Maybe XMR will be the next mainstream coin with many uses besides the money aspect itself.
