A Movie Review – Shaitaan

This Indian Hindi movie is released on this year 2024. This film is directed by Vikas Bahl and produced by Vikas Bahl, Jyoti Deshpande, Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Pathak and Kumar Mangat Pathak. Ajay Devgn (Kabir), Janki Bodiwala (Jahnvi), R. Madhavan (Vanraj ), Jyothika (Jyoti) play roles here.

Kabir is married man and also an accountant. He has two kids and Jahnvi is the elder kid and the other kid is Dhruv. They lived happily. They have a farmhouse in a remote hill station, and they decided to go there. On the way to the farmhouse, they went to a small restaurant to have some food and also to find a toilet for their son. In here they met a stranger called Vanraj. Since Kabir does not have change for tea, Vanraj pays for that. After that Kabir invited him to their table.

They ate food and had a casual chat. While this chat Kabir received call and he went away to answer it. During this time Vanraj gives a laddu to Jahnvi. She ate it. After eating that she felt something different feeling. Though she refused to eat food there before, after Vanraj told to eat it, she eats it. Kabir and Jyoti feel something wired feeling about it. Because they know that she does not like to eat them. However, Jahnvi felt something bad on Vanraj and she told Kabir to be quick and she went to their car.

Jyoti and Jahnvi went to the car and Kabir and Dhruv takes time to go there. During that time Vanraj came to the car and gave a biscut packet to Jahnvi and told her to eat it. Finally, they came to their farmhouse and Jahnvi had already eaten all the biscuits. They go to the swimming pool and enjoy themselves after their long ride. After enjoying a few times with the family jyoti go inside to the house. In that time, she saw Vanraj came to their house. She had some bad feelings about him and called Kabir to check. Since Vanraj said that he wanted to charge his phone they had to call him to their house. Kabir and Jyoti feel very bad about his strange behavior.

Though they thought he would go after a few minutes, it did not happen. This strange man started to talk with Jahnvi. She did everything what he said. Then Kabir told him to leave. Jahnvi prevents their parents according to Vanraj’s order. In that time Vanraj explains to them that he has hypnotized her through black magic. He asked them to give her to him. Since they did not accept it, Vanraj done many things to them. Gave orders to kill Dhruv, slap herself, eat to dry tea leaves and many things. They couldn’t bear it and start to fight with Vanraj. But every time they did it, Vanraj used Jahnvi to avoid those. After she kicked off his brother from the roof top, they allow him to carry Jahnvi with him but having the feeling of rescue her.

After they leave Jyoti carried Dhruv to the hospital because he was bleeding. Kabir decided to follow Jahnvi and to rescue her. Kabir fixed a tracker in his phone earlier and by using it he followed them. During this time many girls join them. Vanraj hyas kept 108 girls with the help of his bac magic and prepared to sacrifice all of them to fire. Kabir came and it was seen by Vanraj. He commanded some ladies to bring him. Again, he started his prayers. Kabir cut Vanraj’s tongue and threw it into the fire. He thought that girls would be free. But it would not happen girls came to him and trying to kill him. During that time Kabir plays an edited recording of Vanraj’s voice and it was about a declaration about girls freedom.

The spell has been broken and girls got their freedom. Police came and handed over the girl to their respective families. Since his action girls able to go back their place and being with their families like before.
