Garden Variety Food Chain — Fly - Spider - Lizard - Cat (4 Original Photos)
This evening I went out into the garden just before sunset to see what I could see.
From the photos today I put together this little collection showing the food chain in the back garden, although I'm not entirely certain that lizards will eat that type of spider, you get the idea ;)
These are all taken with a Canon SL1 using 100mm 2.8f Macro lens.
A regular old house fly
These garden spiders are pretty common here, not sure the name.
I particularly like this lizard photo. Again, these are extremely common. They come in varying shades and patterns.
That cat's name is Garth, he's a stray that has taken up residence in our yard... He likes to beat up on poor Mittens, previously posted.
Wow, what an awesome concept, title, and execution! Great work! Setting the bar pretty high here. @jamtaylor
Cool photos poor kitty looks the wars have caught up with him,lol
Great photos. The lizard is my favourite two. I think it has the perfect combination of colours, composition and the pose is great too. I feel sad for the cat he looks a bit blue and maybe philosophical.
Nature is so soothing and rejuvenating for the soul. Beautiful shots!
Regular old house fly looks pretty cool!
Nice photos! Garth is adorable! :)
