Kapulasan Fruit

This one fruit at a glance is similar to rambutan, but it tastes more sour. This fruit has the Latin name Nephelium mutabile, a fruit that is classified as rare because it is growing day by day.

Kapulasan is still included in the lerak-lerakan fruit family, aka Sapindaceae, and is still closely related to the rambutan we usually know.

The callus tree generally grows in the lowlands and its growth can reach 30 meters. Slightly different from rambutan, kapulasan has sour fruit flesh and the seeds cannot be separated. Although still related, this fruit cannot be crossed with rambutan.

In addition, many ordinary people refer to kapulas as bald rambutan because the fruit is very similar to rambutan but does not have hair, only the texture of the teeth is not too high.
