New Direction

Hey Guys, My name is Oyesanya Segun Joshua, from Ogun State (western Nigeria).
I am a Computer Engineer, graduated from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (class ‘15).

A newbie on steemit and this is supposed to be my introductory article, I’m not much of a writer but I will try and I wouldn’t want to bore you with the story of my life but I will be taking you guys through a particular phase of my life and that was after I graduated from school.

After school my focus and goals shifted from being an engineer to what I have recently fallen in love with and that is being a ‘Brand Identity designer’. Other than identity designs I dabble into graphics designs, little motion graphics (work in progress), web/mobile UI designs, I do frontend development too (though I sleep while coding and I opted out but I’m thinking of going back).

As per designs in general, I’m self-taught with the help of YouTube (a big thank you to the designers that took their time to give back to the people) and some premium site like Lynda.com & skillshare.com

Over the year I’ve worked as a freelancer with a lot of clients in person and remotely (through fiverr.com, freelancer and Instagram). Life as a freelancer is fun but it has some ups and downs because I’ve worked with cool clients and with some clients, it’s like ‘shoot me in the head’. Yet it has been a wonderful journey. Though, it’s not up to 7months since I started designing, but I’ve really gone far and I’m at the top of my game now because with the right information you can move mountains.

I believe I’m writing too much already oooo, but I remember I promise not to bore you. In short words, I will be using this platform to share design process of my works right from the beginning till date.
