Nazare | Big sets | RAW Footage
This is what it looks like when Nazaré is awoken. This is "Hands-Down" the biggest wave in the world, and will kill you if given the chance. A two wave hold down was all it took to take out Maya Gabeira. Maya had to be given CPR on the beach to be revived after her neatly fatal crash in Nazaré in 2013.
The clips you're watching were approaching 100 feet. I have another video Ill be posting later this week that has a legit 100 foot wave on it. It's mind blowing that a wave can reach a size that big.

This is Nazaré, Portugal. Home to the biggest surf-able wave. I saw the biggest wave of my life there, 100ft!! I have another video I'm posting that one tomorrow! Stay tuned! Its all drone footage!
It only fires this big a few times a year. But its still 20 feet for a good part of the year!

Ya it sure is! It was like seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time, hard to comprehend how massive this wave is!
