AM Report for South SD: A topped out SW swell direction is being crossed up more by some local wind swell and some approaching NW direction to keep most areas in to similar but just slightly smaller surf than yesterday. It's more broken up with some residual bump on it from some winds last nigh and an early onshore flow. A recently passed high tide is further slowing all areas down. That all being said Waist to Chest high surf is fairly consistent at most areas now. The top open breaks able to pick up the dominant SW direction can see occasional set waves pushing up towards head high.
Short-Term Forecast for South SD: As the tide drops out both size and shape should improve for awhile. The already textured and somewhat bumpy conditions will suffer more as the winds turn more onshore..
