EARNING INCOME FROM DIFFERENT SOURCES. HAS THE 9 TO 5 WORKING DAY DIED?

in #dtube6 years ago

I haven't worked traditional hours now for over ten years and actually find that it easier and more lucrative to make money through different sources. It also allows me a sense of freedom too!

Great vlog.
I hope someday I can live that way to. I'm also always looking online for oppertunities to make income. I wrote reviews, did surveys, now i'm a microstock photographer/videographer, I help my kids with their youtube channel, and now i found out about steemit and dtube.

I think its easier to live this way when you don't have any dependents. I only have to think about myself so can choose what I do. I definitely think this is the way for future generations. Both my children earn a good living online. It does often mean taking a risk though. Thank you for your comments and support. My latest vlog is questioning whether we are defined by the job we do? Let me know what you think ?

I recently wrote about this on my blog. I don't think the 9-5 thing is dead, though, because the majority of people still think it's the only way to go, or rather, it's the safest way. Some of my family members and people I know even think that if you don't have a job you're lazy, when it's obvious that if you're doing multiple things to generate income, you actually work harder than 9-5'ers.
Doing more than one thing before was seen as a necessity, but it's not anymore. I think in the future people won't have one main job anymore, some out of necessity and others because they want to have more freedom or a different lifestyle. People that have many soures of income tend do be more creative I think, more independant, and tend to think outside the box.

Yes I think you're right. The older generation still class working in the traditional sense. Working long hours with one occupation. My mum still asks 'when I'm going to.get a job ?' Although I work online and through other areas. It can seem a risk to step away from convention but the rewards are huge. My latest vlog is about whether we are defined by what we do? Let me know what you think?

Yes, lol! When will I get a job? I tell them I don't want a job, I want to work.
I did check out the vlog you mentioned, I think you hit the nail on the head.
If you have the time you can check out what I wrote about that, and how I deal with it now https://steemit.com/life/@thatgaby/27lz7j-when-people-ask-me-what-i-do-for-a-living.
