Hello Steemitverse

On the night of July 16, 2010, the remains of Simón Bolívar were exhumed from the National Pantheon at the request of the then president, Hugo Chávez. The operation had the objective of verifying if the cause of his death had been tuberculosis. A day later, Chávez announced in an act from La Victoria, Aragua state, the decision to build the Mausoleum of the Liberator, a building that would be located next to the National Pantheon, with the intention of housing the remains of Bolívar.

Building in the shape of a rising ramp, with a modern trend and linked to the old National Pantheon by a corridor. The structure is 54 meters high, and is covered in white ceramic. It is eight meters higher than the highest tower of the Pantheon, so in terms of scale it considerably exceeds this building. It covers 2.000 square meters, with a capacity to receive up to 1,500 people. The structure was made with white ceramics, steel assembled in workshops in the country, sheets brought from Switzerland, ceramics from Spain, black granite from South Africa and corten steel from the United States.
