It's Been Six Months on Steemit Already?
I created my account on August 11th, and here we are at February 11th. I took a look back at my previous posts to see where I have been and where I need to go in the future. Some of my old posts do not meet my current standards for formatting, obviously. The content could probably use a refresh, too. But I have learned a lot in the process.
Projects
I started a series of reviews on game miniature manufacturers that I need to continue.
I started a series on Magic: The Gathering that will continue once I finish adjusting some of my decks, although that is always an ongoing process anyway.
I started writing about the trials, tribulations, and triumphs of being a rural librarian that will continue as events warrant.
I created @goodguygreg to counter flag trolls, although I have not successfully created a bot to run it due to computer issues.
I created a few Dollar Store Collectibles posts. These may or may not become an ongoing thing.
I wrote some stuff about politics and economics. Yay.
I wrote a lot of useless filler, even more useless than this post!

I've met a lot of interesting people, and read a lot of interesting stories ranging from homesteading adventures to art projects to discussions on the latest scientific breakthroughs. This is what Steemit is all about in the end.
The Future
I have resisted the urge to go into full troll mode despite some juicy troll bait on this platform. I have spewed my share of snark though, I'm sure. I suspect I'll generate some controversy whenever I get political, but I intend to maintain consistent principles and rational arguments to the best of my ability.
I may power down and use some of my accumulated Steem for various projects I have in mind over the summer, but I don't have any plans to abandon the platform. This is all an experiment in what blockchain technology can add to the internet, and I think it's a worthy experiment.
Steemit, even though it can be frustrating sometimes it still is worth our time and effort. Just to engage in our creative side is a big win, that money aside is also sweet bonus to have. Win win I say. And I'm still optimistic for the future, we actually might go to the moon one day.
