Windmill (An Original Poem)
I see a windmill
outside my window
I watch it spin till
clouds rise high in rows
And the storm dwindles down
and dies, dieing slow
I see a windmill outside my window
I see a simple town, lives lying low
They watch the windmill now,
eyes widening so
And once the wind's still
how I've tried to know
Why watch the windmill outside my window?
I hear rhythm-full sounds
while flying doe
Leap across dismal grounds
riled by dingos!
Why watch the windmill outside my window?
When words can fall like a symphony of rain!
Let them fall were they may!
Don't be under a trance!
The greatest beauty on earth
Is the beauty of spontaneous laughter!
Live long so life may feel short!
I will not watch the windmill outside my window!!!
Remind me of seeeing windmills on our farm.

Glad I could trigger the memory! There actually is a windmill outside my window on this apple orchard. Hard not to watch them they are pretty! :D
