Wishing Good Upon/To/For Others!

in #prayer9 years ago (edited)

This is another one of those posts where I am thinking out aloud, I guess, not a typical show and tell story.

Was thinking last night how we have all heard stories about "The Power Of Prayer", as a Christian, more precisely a member of The Roman Catholic Church into which I was Baptized, I personally consider praying a very direct way in which I can wish good for others. For those who do not believe in God and who do not consider themselves religious, I may have sounded like one of those fanatics here, however I beg for you to read on just a little more.

Wishing good upon, for , to others or what ever the right terms may be, is something that every person can do, no matter how we approach it.

Being GOOD and wishing GOOD to others out there is something that can only bring out GOOD vibes and positive energy as some refer to it.
No matter if it be in the form of a prayer, or a very personal thought, a sincere inner feeling/emotion, where by you share your sincerity and goodness and wish that it in some way be relayed to and upon that person or persons.

I don't see anything wrong with wishing for something GOOD to happen to others, in fact it is sharing, sharing at the most inner and personal level of humanity.

I sincerely believe that if we keep wishing for goodness to prevail that it shall.

Not by some mystical powers or who knows what, but by the fact that if we share our goodness within us and sincerely wish for it to happen that these "prayers" as I like to refer to them shall affect the way we as humans interact with each other, that the negativity out there shall eventually vanish and/or become a thing of the past, or so minute that it won't be able to affect the positive loving nature that sharing, caring and sincerity brings about and that exists within every single one of us.

I guess I may be coming across as some "religious freak" but to all those who do see me this way after this post, just think about it, sleep it over, let the idea of goodness and the idea of wishing good to/for/upon others sink in. Many people state things for the sake of saying them, like a "I'm sorry" and then just keep going their own way, sure, we are only human, we all make mistakes, that doesn't make us bad people. It's what we do afterwards that matters. Our efforts to fix things.

So too what we wish upon others can help change us into better people, sincere wishes, no matter how we process these wishes within our own inner being.

Just sharing some thoughts here again, hoping to maybe help out in this world, what little bit I can help out, knowing fully well that I am but a grain of sand on a sandy beach. It can't hurt to try!

Anyways, I sincerely wish that everyone here has a lovely day, week, month, year decade and life.

& I say this with from the bottom of my heart, remember, it is the people around us that matter, all the material things in this very short life on this planet are made up of physical matter, physical matter that decays, rots, falls apart or just gets lost somehow and becomes worthless.
People are who are important and nothing else, once a life ends on this planet that is it, that individual is gone, so every second of life here counts and we can make a difference!

Yours sincerely,

Jack

Well said mate.
I'm in the non religious camp, in the fact that I'm not a fan of organised religion. Spiritually however is a very different thing and while I don't pray often I have said a kind of prayer to who/what I have no idea at certain times in my life. I'm convinced positive thoughts can have positive outcomes.
There is a flip side though......

Well, being faitful is not the same thing as being religious. I totally agree with you!

There is GOOD in all of us!
