Inflation, which can be classified as "traditional", maintained a behavior (with few exceptions such as that of 1994) of presenting a general increase in prices on a quarterly or even quarterly basis. It is a custom within the huge network of circuits of commercialization of goods and services, to generate increases in a speculative way (often without presenting alterations in the production costs) that directly influenced the levels of inflation, this dynamic began according to the calendar in the month of March-May, prices subsequently changed again during the July-August vacation period and finally goods and services presented a new and abrupt third change in the period November-December, this time fueled by the increase in Liquidity and consumption of the holiday season.

Since the beginning of 2013 this dynamic changed, inflation became bimonthly, perhaps accelerated by the disastrous devaluation that took place in February of that year where the official dollar went from 4.3 to 6.3 bolivars while the parallel was moderately stable in 22 bolivars, it is important to mention that such devaluation was carried out as an order of Chávez days before the Commander died, which puts in doubt that Chavez himself has actually been convalescing who authorized this unpopular decision.
From this situation, which I particularly define as the breaking point, which led us to the current crisis, inflation in Venezuela got out of hand without it being possible to put it back on track to its normal metabolism.
