Who am I?

Alot of qualities makes me unique and special. There is alot I can say about myself but let me put it down in few points:

• Resilience: my resilience spirit is something that keeps me going despite all odds. I faced lots of challenges going up. I did not have the best of childhood. But, I still did not give up. I went ahead to sponsor my university education and still finished strong. It was not an easy journey combining studies with work as a full time student. I had other options, but I stood for what is right even differing my admission at some point put it still did not stop me from graduating despite the delay.

• My look: My look is something that am always grateful to God for. In fact, I don't look like my problem. God made me beautiful even when am complaining, my friends will think am lying because I keep glowing at all time. To the God of God.

•Personality: my personality is one of the features that makes me unique. I'm not the type that will fake my identity just to get attention or favour from people. I believe in dignity in labour that why I work so hard in achieving my dreams. We live in a society today where some of the young once are so disturbed with the get rich syndrome. But then, I feel if am intelligent enough, I should be able to create wealth for myself rather than getting it through illicit means.

My personal experience so far in life has shaped my personality in so many ways;

• Independence: I learnt independence as a very teenage age. Having lost my Dad at the age of fifteen. I and my siblings have to support ourselves with the help of my lovely mother. Each time I want to cry, I will always remember that winners never quit. From hawking all manner of things to becoming a determined, strong, and hardworking lady.

•Wisdom: life prepared me for my future at a very young age. When I was facing those challenges I never knew it going to shape the woman am going to become tomorrow. I'm not the first child of my family but am standing in for my late father during decision making including my extended family.

•Mindset: my mindset about life is that there is no limit to what you can achieve in life. Looking back from when my journey began, it keep reminding me that the sky is my limit. That through hard work and constant determination, I can get to that height I truly desire.

•Love: just like the bible says, love is a strong factor that can keep the world united. I love my self so much so I work with this notion that I should treat people the way I want to be treated. Love is a factor that should not be neglected in our society today. When you treat your friends, neighbours, colleagues and partners right the world will become a better place.

•Culture: where I come from speaks alot about my personality. A good culture will teach you how to dress appropriately. Also nurture you on how to represent your race in any part of the world you might find yourself. I'm from the Igbo part of Nigeria and we are thought to be very industrious. So, in everything I do, I should be able to carry a mindset that as an Igbo girl I should always be a giver knowing fully well that an industrious personality comes with lots of generiousity.

•Fear of God: I came from a Christian background and I was thought to put God first in everything I do in life. The fear of not putting him first something make me feel as if am not going to achieve my dreams in life. The holy book once said, that we should seek first the kingdom of God, and every other thing will be added unto you.

I'm not there yet, but the steps and hardwork am putting in place now assures me of a better tomorrow. Am working on becoming a better version of myself and always learning all necessary skills and training that I need for my journey. The picture is not clear yet, but been constantly focus is the goal to attain it.

Like I mentioned before, my resilience spirit is one of the factors that makes me stand out among my peers. The zeal of never giving up is the reason I am where i am today. And I will keep striving till i attain that height I want to achieve in life. Countless of times my friends, colleagues, remind me that I was meant to be a boy rather than a girl child because my survival spirit is top notch.

Thank you so much for this amazing opportunity. It reminds me of my childhood alot and the effort I have put thus far. Expressing my inner self and lots more. I therefore, invite my wonderful friends to also partake in this contest.
