The Diary Game || 25-07-24 || My Passing Out Parade Day

My POP day was indeed a day to remember. Been the first graduate in my family I was so excited about this great achievement. I woke up on the 25th of July very happy. Firstly, I kneel down to thank God for this journey having transferred from Akwa Ibom State University to University of Nigeria Nsukka and still finished well to the glory of God.
My matriculation ceremony is still flesh in my memory. I remembered how I have to travel almost seventeen hours to Akwa State University during my first and second year.

I went further to a photo studio to do my makeup and the funny thing is that; this is actually the first time am going to get my makeup done by a specialist. The experience was wonderful though! And by the time the artist was done, I turned out to be a very beautiful lady.

After taking few pictures, i left the studio and head to the bus stop. Then, I discovered that I forgot my cap. The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Organisation don't joke with there uniform. So I have to take another cab to the house to pick up my cap. After that, I headed to the park to take a bus to the venue. I entered a golf car with four passengers at the back and two in front. Unlucky for me, two of the person sitting at the back with me where fat I have to manage so that I will not ruin my makeup before the event.

Furthermore, when I got to Kubwa the NYSC orientation camp, the hold up was too much because of the POP ceremony. At some point, the driver dropped us and we continue the journey trekking to the venue. Some of the Corp members where stopped from entering the venue especially those that did not wear the complete set of uniform. Then again, i was happy I went back to pick up my cap I would have been standing outside the gate like those Corp member. I went inside and started searching for my own point of collection of certificate. It was not easy because of the population of Corp members and there invited guests. While I was searching, it started raining but after 40 minutes of search I found my own spot of collection.

The event will not be fun if my amazing friends was not there with me. I came across Clinton my first male friend at the NYSC orientation camp Bauchi.

Then again, I met my friend whom happens to be in the same community development services (CDS) with me.

It was a wonderful experience I had lots of fun and good wishes from my friends and family. My mom and siblings where so proud of me and am sure my late father will be so proud..
