The Guardian of the Purple Jungle: Mixing Traditional and Digital Art

Have a solemn november 1 steemians! I've finished my latest work digitally! (Although I can still finish it traditionally) I am happy to show the results!

Here is what i have achieved traditionally so far

I have come up with two outcomes using two Different drawing apps

First: paperone app

Second: autodesk sketchbook app

Here is the process for Traditional Art

Materials: mechanical pencil, kneaded eraser, mechanical eraser, colored pencils (mitsubishi japan uni no.888) and a black pen.

First step, sketch it!
I start coloring with the nose.

Then the eyes, base colors, light shades before darker ones

Then the surrounding fur and spots

Close up see the hairs drawn stroke by stroke

Up close 🌹

It is coming more to life but still very pale

I inked the whiskers and spots and the outline of the eyes and nose
Black and brown also helps the fur look fluffy

I took this picture this morning

And I edited it digitally.
Using paperone - the process is light to dark



Here you see i used grey, yellow and purple shades

Then put patches of color and black

You can add highlights and darken. Then you're done.

Next, I try to achieve the same effect using autodesk sketchbook







The colors are much softer with this app

And! Put grey yellow white sky blue purple dots for stars
And done

I will post the traditional version of this once i get around to finish it.
