Hello, It's time for a Contribution
Steem Makers here are your new logo and banners
The idea started out as a M that then turned into a box with open arms, but when I got down to it and started modelling it quickly turned into something more exciting, I rushed a bit so it lacks polish, with deadlines around the corner I'm very happy.
Using the logo I've also produced a few Banners to compliment the Image, here it's all 2D work tho and it requires a post of it's own to break down, you can use INKscape if you are into GNU projects, or the traditional way of using Adobe Bundles (Illustrator) is always open, I myself am a fan of 3D and quite used to everything so it's really hard for me to navigate the Adobe software apart from the basic functionality.
In short I have used the vectors I've made and added a background, text, worked on the colors a bit and there you have it >>
With that out of the way let's get some 3D skills while we are at it, the principles here can be used anywhere it's a additive workflow like Photoshop's layers but it's more expanded in functionality.
Also I did try to make a reccording but Dlive wasn't working and the following one hour of taxing my CPU while working was fruitless, maybe I will do a video tut in the future.

Alright Thank you for being here with me I hope this has been as interesting and ispiration for you as it was for me while making it :) Check out the files below, also since the software is proprietary I've included the 3D in a more widespread format capable of being oppened anywhere well for the most part, render settings are based on the software you are using.

Thank you. I will add it to the overview but it's not really what has been requested. You have replied on the task request clarification that requests a flat design, so you should understand it doesn't stand a chance.
I also saw you were open for suggestions, I know you saw the other one even if you left no constructive criticism, to be fair a logo to me has to speak something, and that's something I'm not sure flat design does, also since you didn't bother to check the files, the vectors are flat, I think it stands a chance, sure it could be framed better, but if I have to do everything myself and understand your thinking on top of all the usual jazz...
Anyways I replied there because it was the most current post, thanks for the note, I'm sure I shouldn't care about this, it's your project, I shouldn't invest my thinking into this I should flatten it up and make a graphical image, also I'm a bit annoyed atm so my comment sounds like it I hope
Cheers I might make a new one, but I have nothing to go by other than what others have made, anyways I already mentioned that. Well have a good day :) good luck with the contest I have some text and fonts to play with next, as I said my logo was a bit rushed and I actually took some time to create something, banners and logos aren't really my specialty, graphics wise there are better contributions and I will polish mine a bit more, I just don't see a reason to work on this.

Let's start positive. Firstly I want to thank you to mention us on your blog (the deadline post).
Please don't feel insulted. It's a bit too time consuming to comment on every entry. If you check the others you'll see you're no exception. Everybody gives the best he/she can and learns along the way.
"Flat design" is a design concept which we tried to clarify in the post. Maybe it was not clear enough. If you google 'flat design' you will find more info. It has nothing to do with the file format.
I didn't say your logo was shit. I see potential in it, but for the contest, your second design is better. Just a sidenote, the steem logo does not look 3D, it doesn't wrap around the corner properly.
I didn't open anyone's files because I don't have the experience or the tools. If necessary whatever logo can be reproduced so that's not a big issue.
We always clearly stated that we are available for all questions/discussions on discord.
I maintain the overview for a reference and so that the people deciding on it have an easy way of comparing them. As said before, it is a community idea and I won't decide myself. Taste and preference is something very special. Contest entries are scattered all over. Some reply to the first post, some to the second, some only on discord, some even don't let us know. It requires a fair bit of work from our side as well ;-)
I hope you consider this positive feedback because that is all I intend.

I know what you mean, first of sorry for my mood, it's not related to this in short, I was hoping for some good news today and I was looking forward to something to cheer me up after a long night trying to catch up to others and a long day before that of pretty much the same thing, it's a personal thing since I'm going a bit over the top, (tried to make a dlive stream of the process ...)
Once again I've been here for a while and I know how it is with everyone, all want to be appreciated but there is little time and at the end of the day someone is always disappointed, again personally I'm dealing with it every day, I'd like to participate in the crypto markets, chats and the projects here as well, therefore I'm overworked and underpaid like everyone :D so I'm grumpy in the mornings when I haven't rested properly.
I didn't mean to be a dick and lash out my grievances, I can't say I did a good job of that, it could have been worse tho, anyways I took a step back and recuperated which got me to the response of "Thanks for being honest" although it was a bit late for that and honestly I wouldn't have been honest if I had bottled it up and given up.
I've seen the overview post and tried to follow the project closely, It's been in my head for around 10 days or so, that coupled with the usual treatment I've been getting for years on freelancer also helped out in tipping me over the top.
Anyways I hope there is still more time since Saturday as a final deadline since I have a few iterations to do with the logo and not much time to polish it up, that and the fact I'm scattered like the entries doesn't help much, but anyways, I will rework it one final time at least just to portray it a bit better.

I just had an idea with this design. Instead of the steem logo you could make an S under the M that wraps around, also with rectangles. Just an idea, don't know if it i worth something.
it's a nice idea, I dunno why I'm a fan of the steem logo and place it everywhere :D I will do a few iterations for sure I got another good idea today for the logo, but it be better if I just made it, thank you for stopping by again :)

Due to timezones we did not set a hard deadline but we indeed plan to wrap up and move on somewhere in the weekend. If you have ideas in the pipeline you can always stay in close touch on Discord.

as soon as I leave my rage mode :D currently there isn't much need for 3D, hopefully Steem Makers opens that stream a bit more, I've seen only a few people doing it, but I suppose so... so yeah you will see more like this :) and I will get better this is my first flat design try after all :D
