My cutie pie asked me yesterday, "Boo Boo, how do you find it so easy to relate with people including those who have hurt you?
I told her that I practice advance forgiveness.
How do you do that?
I explained to her that I program myself not to expect more than 50% performance from anyone except God.
I make provision for people to fail, betray me, fall short of expectations or outright backstabbing.
With my programming background, I know that coding could be very disappointing. You could spend hours developing something awesome but a single line of code could prevent you from getting results until someone else is brought in to check it for you.
It's not about you.
It's them.
Never give a financial lifeline you are not ready to write off in advance.
Allow people to make mistakes.
Accept the man, reject his error.
If he has been faithful 80%, don't throw it away because of one mistake.
Forgive, the benefits outweighs the cost.
Live offense free.
You will flourish again.
