Mount Sinabung Erupts

Mount Sinabung erupted this morning with the height of the ash column reaching approximately 5,000 meters, (19/2/2018).

bursts of volcanic ash are also accompanied by hot clouds with a range to the northeast as far as 3,500 meters and to the south as far as 4,900 meters.

a number of villages in the Karo Regency were pitch-dark due to the closed volcanic ash material.
