Our Trek to Dibulo Falls in Dinapigue, Isabela
During our second day in Aurora Province, there's a plan that we are going to visit the beach and the waterfalls. We are not told which waterfalls is it, but we were told it's already in the province of Isabela, and the falls is Dibulo. Disalag town, where we had our accommodation, is at the border of Aurora and the province of Isabela. I made a research and I found out that it would be in Dinapigue, Isabela. It is also at the border, and it has no road to other towns in Isabela but to pass by the roads of Aurora.
From Dilasag, we have to travel in isolated places to reach Dibulo Falls. We also have to cross river streams until we reach the mountainous areas where the falls was located. The roads in the mountains are rocky, and we have to bear the bumpy roads. There's an area where the van which we used cannot cross the stream anymore because the road is to steep, and the rocks are too huge. So we decided to do the trek to the falls. I expected a short walk but it took us about half na hour of walk in streams and rocky roads.
This is the first strean of water we walked through. The water feels so cold.
We have to walk this long road, and I am expecting after this, we'll reach Dibulo Falls.
I have a feeling we are close to the Dibulo falls because of this welcome sign. However...
...we have to walk in this stream with huge rocks.
I am already tired but I won't give up. I'll keep moving.
After the rocky streams, there's this beautiful garden developed by the government.
Thinking we are close to the waterfalls, but we have to walk through this stream again.
We have to climb and walk in those huge stones. As you can see the people up the huge rock, that is the scariest part. The rock is slippery that I have to remove my slippers in order to climb.
There's this small waterfall.
I thought we are already there, but we have to keep climbing.
... and finally, we're already here.
The waterfalls is just breathtaking. It is very high.
Took a selfie with the waterfall.
I am just in awe. The trek is worth it. I can't wait to drench in the cold waters from the waterfalls.
