Such as magnesium to improves mental health and mental capacity

Magnesium is a vital nutrient, thousands of articles are written about it, because this mineral seems to be the key to our well-being.

And this is no exaggeration, since magnesium takes part in most of the biochemical reactions of the human body, thanks to magnesium carried out up to 300 enzymatic processes, including the most important: energy production.

Surprisingly, this mineral is also the key to our psychological well-being.

This is, without doubt, an interesting fact worth mentioning: patients with depression, for example, I feel better after taking supplements based on magnesium.

Those who have previously suffered from anxiety disorders, dysthymia, convulsions, ataxias or episodes of psychosis notice how their quality of life improves to the point where there is a chance of full recovery.

Today in our article we want to explain how magnesium can improve our mental health, as well as overall health and even mental abilities.

  1. Magnesium improves our memory

It is known that almost half of the population of industrialized countries does not consume magnesium in the required amount.

This deficit is particularly evident when we reach a certain age. At this stage, many of our cognitive functions are beginning to fade away.
An interesting fact is that magnesium enhances synapses located in the hippocampus, this brain structure that helps us keep long-term memories.
Likewise, this mineral performs its indispensable work in the prefrontal cortex of the brain.
Thanks to magnesium, we are able to recover these memories, catalogued by our brain as short-term (for example, where we left the keys, turn off the oven, buy milk...).
Magnesium also enhances synaptic nerve endings, responsible for the transmission and Association of information, memories, data.

  1. Magnesium improves learning ability

Many of us believe that with age the ability to learn new things is lost.

It is clear that in 3 years and 70 years our educational potential can not be the same. But our brain is an organ with incredible abilities.

Its plasticity, its ability to establish new relationships never end, that is, if we train our brain as well as muscles, and taking care of it, it guarantees us a great cognitive ability even in old age.
One way to achieve this is by using magnesium supplements.
Thanks to this mineral, we facilitate communication between nerve cells, improve our memory, mood and make ourselves more receptive to new information.

  1. Helps reduce stress

When we experience stress, our bodies release excess cortisol into the bloodstream.

This damages a very specific brain structure: the hippocampus, which entails memory problems, it becomes difficult for us to concentrate, and our negative emotions increase.

However, this aid comes magnesium. It acts on our hormones, reduces cortisol levels and helps control the stress response.

Similarly, magnesium can act as a blood-brain barrier, meaning it prevents stress hormones from entering the brain. It's just incredible!

  1. Magnesium can prevent Alzheimer's disease

Magnesium itself is not 100% protection against Alzheimer's disease.

However, it can act as a prevention, reducing the likelihood of developing this disease.
For example, this mineral helps to avoid the appearance of amyloid plaques in the hippocampus of the brain.
It also reduces the presence of these plaques in the frontal cortex.

These data are undoubtedly interesting in that they show how important it is to revise our diet in order to compensate for the possible deficiency associated with this mineral.

  1. Magnesium reduces anxiety and helps to concentrate

We all from time to time experience this — our mind is reeling and any incentive, any event "blows up" in us, making us lose control.

Circumstances put pressure on us, we feel nervousness, insomnia and complete moral exhaustion.
These periods of anxiety can be prevented by starting to plan your day better and by also taking care not to have magnesium deficiency.
Do not forget that magnesium is the most important ingredient of our cells because it acts as " fuel»,
An organ that needs more energy is the brain, so it needs large doses of magnesium.
To improve our condition, if we suffer from periods of intense anxiety, it is necessary to start adhering to the "magnesium diet".
That is, we should start deliberately consuming products rich in this mineral, as well as consult with the attending physician about the appropriateness of taking supplements with this mineral.

After a few weeks, you will notice how your nerves calm down, muscle tension will decrease, and you will feel that you have become much more attentive.

Improve your diet today and remember that magnesium is a fundamental mineral, because it is the key to the electrical conductivity of each cell in our body.

Therefore, magnesium deficiency can be the cause of many of the problems we are suffering from at this very moment.
